Results of the Emergency support program for December2023 – February 2024

The Human Rights House Crimea continues to implement the Emergency support program for human rights defenders, lawyers, activists, and journalists from Crimea.

Throughout the period of December 2023 – February 2024, the program supported:

– Psychological support for human rights defenders in the form of psychosocial rehabilitation and emotional recovery (retreat), as well as psychological support for journalists;

– Expenses related to the attendance of educational events necessary for the work of human rights defenders;

– Legal assistance.

– Medical assistance.

– Equipment for the professional activities of journalists and human rights defenders working on human rights protection in Crimea.

– Relocation.

During this period, there were 33 beneficiaries, including 13 women, 5 children, 7 internally displaced persons (IDPs), 3 individuals requiring relocation, and 1 elderly person.

The Protection program, implemented by the Human Rights House Crimea, is jointly financed with support from the Human Rights House Foundation and the ESU project.

The ESU project / Resilience Programme is run by Human Rights House Foundation as part of a consortium led by ERIM and partnering with East Europe Foundation, Human Rights House Tbilisi, Barys Zvoszkau Belarusian Human Rights House and the Black Sea Trust, and funded by the European Union.
